Karounga Diawara is a full professor at the Faculty of Law and co-director of Centre de recherche en droit économique (CEDE). His research focuses on competition law, including its domestic, comparative, and international aspects. He authored the monograph Droit de la concurrence: Aspects théoriques et appliqués (Éditions Yvon Blais, 2015).

His thesis on the control of corporate power over the marketplace won him the Prix Henri-Capitant (2009) and was published by Éditions Yvon Blais (2011). He is also interested in the interactions between competition law and consumer law, legal forms of businesses, corporate social responsibility (CSR), the law generated by the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), and extractive industry law.
