Louis Bélanger is a full professor in the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences.
Specializing in the study of international relations and foreign policy, he has published extensively on free trade agreements, Canadian foreign and trade policy, inter-American cooperation, Québec’s international relations, and secessionist demands.
From 2000 to 2005 and 2013 to 2019, Louis Bélanger served as director of Institute of Advanced International Studies at Université Laval.
